Lori Gosselin has been observing and building community for as long as she can remember. In 2017, she published her second book, Sounding the Drum: Community Building in the Digital Age, to share what she is learning. She sees the potential for everyone to be a part of a significant community, something we inherently long for, in the workplace, in schools, in churches, in social settings and in our homes. Her love for community building drives her to teach the community building process to start groups on their own community building paths.

Depending on the time allowed, Community Building Workshops comprise both education and experience. Eighty per cent of the time is spent in community building after information and guidance is provided about community, its history, characteristics and the community building process.
I will address your goals for the organization which include giving participants a clear feeling for what community is, and, if the length of the workshop is significant, foster in them a community building awareness and give them the tools to guide them in their efforts to help their groups become communities.
